Champions League Match Report: Udinese vs Arsenal – Part 1
Arsenal travelled to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Italy-c2926 to take on Udinese in what was easily the Gunners biggest game of the season. The North London club needed the win in the game to progress to the group stages of the tournament and to ensure new signings at the club.
Going into the game, The Gunners had a one goal advantage, having won the first leg by a goal to nil. Should the Gunners have scored a goal in the game, then Udinese would need three goals to go through.
The match kicked off with the Gunners taking the game to the Italians. Arsenal were constantly bombarding forward and creating chances, while Udinese were spending more time trying to attack the Gunners on the break.
Despite that fact it seemed like Udinese were the more dangerous side, as they were making more of their chances, as compared to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429, who seemed to be wasting all the opportunities that they got.
In the 20th minute Di Natale went on to receive a cross from Isla and took a pop at goal. Just when everything seemed to be set for the forward to score, he went on to see an effort come off the wood work.
In the 32nd minute of the game, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Gervinho-c14755 sprinted down the flank and created some space for himself. He then went on to square a ball for Walcott who had all the time in the world to score, but hit the keeper instead. Van Persie tried to follow up on the shot and put the ball in the net, but the keeper went on to pull off a brilliant save to deny the Gunners.
In the 39th minute, Pinzi went on to chip in a brilliant ball towards Di Natale who headed the ball expertly and knocked the ball into the corner of the goal.
Soon after the first half of the game came to an end, with Arsenal desperately needing a goal to save the game and their season.
