Their skipper William Kvist while talking to media collaborated that he was very proud of his men and his Champions League success and hoped that there will be more as such in the future.
The Danish League winners Copenhagen hammered a 3 to 1 exciting victory against Panathinaikos. This triumph has now confirmed their landing into the next knockout stage of the Champions League.
The captain of Copenhagen William Kvist stated while talking to reporters that he was extremely exuberant and happy with the way his team played.
In a press release the 25-year-old Danish international commented, “It was amazing – an amazing crowd, an amazing everything. We're writing history; it's just fantastic.”
He also comprehended on his team’s improvement from the past and told that they had evolved in time into a better club. He articulated, “We've really grown in the last half a year. We've really grown mentally. As you could see in this game, we weren't very
nervous. It was the usual FCK home game in Europe, with us creating pressure. It was a great performance.”
The box-to-box midfielder also described his thoughts on what he expected from the tournament up ahead, “Anything can happen in the next round. It depends on which team you meet. Personally I like the big games as it's more exciting. Real Madrid would be fun.”
Kvist, who has played for Copenhagen all his life ended by saying, “Wednesday we have our team Christmas party so maybe tonight we'll just have a couple of beers, but I don't think anyone will be able to sleep for the next couple of hours.”
