Champions League: Partizan Belgrade v Arsenal half time report
Partizan 1 Arsenal 1
Arsenal are level at the break in Belgrade after they let an early advantage slip.
The Gunners recovered from early nerves to take the lead just a quarter of an hour into their clash in Serbia, as Andrey Arshavin linked up well with Jack Wilshere before profiting from the youngster’s clever flick and smashing home.
Both Arshavin and Tomas Rosický went close as the English side took control of the game, but a needless handball from Brazilian midfielder Denilson handed Partizan a penalty, which was duly dispatched by forward Cléo to put his side level.
Arsène Wenger’s men have had the better of a closely fought contest, but they’ll be disappointed to have lost their lead.
