Champions League: Tottenham Hotspur 0-0 vs. Twente Enschede FC - Half time report (Part 1)
The match between the English hot shots and Twente FC was expected to be interesting as this was to decide who would be the winners: the underdogs Spurs or the dark horses Twente Enschede.
In their domestic league, both teams performed brilliantly. The Whites took the 4thposition in the challenging English Premier League to qualify for the Champions League.
Their performance was only shadowed by the footballing giants of England; Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal, while they fought the major developing Manchester City team to snatch the position in the last match.
Under the leadership of Harry Redknapp, they are progressing brilliantly this season too and it is expected that they will again be in competition for a top 4 finish. He is currently facing a crisis in his defence as major players
from his defence are injured.
Twente FC, on the other hand, are the Dutch Champions having won their top home league Eredivisie. During the summer, however, Steve McClaren, the man who lead the club to their first ever league title had to leave and he was replaced
by the 51 year old Belgian legend Michel Preud'homme.
Now, Preud'homme has to muster up all his men and feature their well-organized midfield to win another season and produce better results in his offence.
The players on the injury list for Tottenham Hotspurs are right-winger Aaron Lennon, Michael Dawson along with other crucial defenders.
