I have just read in the news that Pakistan has been shaked by yet another bomb blast killing 1 and injuring 37.This comes only 2 days after their last blasts..These last ones were in Karachi..http://au.news.yahoo.com/a/-/world/4773540/pakistan-police-probe-multiple-blasts-karachi

My question is do you think it is time for the ICC to say that's enough, lets move to Sri Lanka?..

I was fine with the idea of it being played in Pakistan,up until i saw this report on bomb blasts on Sunday and today(tues)...

I think it's time to move to Sri Lanka, anyone else agree??...

  1. I don't think comparing London bombing & Karachi Bombing is justified. What happened in London was an one-off incident. But in Pakistan it happens almost on a daily basis. They even lost a prime ministerial candidate in a bombing (Whatever explanation they proffer, all we know is there was a bombing & Ms. Bhutto was dead). If Pakistan govt cannot protect one of its ex-PM, how can it assure the safety of cricket players?

Moreover, British law & order system is much stronger & foolproof than that of Pakistan's.

If terrorists want to create an impact (after all that is what they want) they are not going to spare cricketers.

Shifting is not a bad idea,  but even Srilanka is not safe as there is threat of LTTE looming over your head.

When someone said terrorists are not going to attack cricketers, i just imagined about Osama Bin Laden, sitting in his couch in front of the telly, somewhere in God-Knows-Where watching cricket and rooting on for someone like Shoaib Akhtar or Shahid Afridi.

  2. i don't think terrorist  will attack on cricketers

    and i don't agree with u

  3. No!! Champions Trophy will be in Pakistan as per shedule!

  4. Ya its better to Move to Srilanka.Because Pak is not consistant in its political and intenal matters there. And there maght have a chances of having security problems during Champions trophy because its a big series, and almostly all the teams will play there. So there is a need to have a gr8 security.

  5. i think it should shift

  6. im pakistani and to be honest, move the champions trophy to south africa for now

  7. Juy 7 2005.  Bombs ripped some of London's transport system killing 55 people. Did that stop the Aussies team visiting UK 3 weeks later?

Is one bombing  different from another?

  8. Maybe Sri Lanka is the answer.  To be honest I don't really know.  But I do know that avoiding Pakistan for the moment is a good choice. Were something to happen to any players whilst there was a team touring, it would be a disaster for cricket.

  9. Pakistan is being attacked by terrorists and there is no grantee of security. The bomb blasts are going to target the cricketers if they go to Pakistan, to make a statement. It's time to move to Sri Lanka. That might make the Pakistani Govt. start to improve security in its homeland, instead of the Govt. killing all political opponents.

  10. Tyontyon, England can in no way be compared to Pakistan. That bombing was a one-off thing. Can't you people understand that we in England, Australia & NZ don't have that sort of thing happening in our countries often, mostly because of our great security.I know it's commonplace in your country & I suppose you are immune to it, but we are NOT about to risk our precious sportsmens lives by sending them there. We value human life more then you do apparently, otherwise you wouldn't insist on our team going there.I agree that it needs to be moved to a safer country.

  11. I don't know my mind keep going back to 07/07 ... Ashes never stopped ?
