I was interested at the financial aid programs in the top schools for example, with my family's salary i could go to :

Stanford, Yale, or Harvard for free

Mit for no tuition (i would still have room and board)

Cornell for only expected family contribution and student earnings

However, this is only if I get accepted....What do you think my chnaces are and is it worth the application fees, test retaking and everything to apply for me or not....

I have:

29 ACT, 4.4 GPA (4.0 unweighed), rigorous high school schedual, 4 AP classes, class rank 2nd out of over 400, public high school

extracurriculars: Key CLub, National Honor Society Officer, Sign Language Club (3 year), Spanish Club (4 years)

  1. I agree with the other person. 29 is a little low for those schools. I got a 28, so i think a 29 is wonderful, but its still not ivy league material. HOWEVER, what did you get on SAT? maybe you are better at those. I know a few kids with ACT of 34 that STILL got rejected from stanford yale and harvard. If you boost those ACT scores, and maybe SAT, then you are a shoe in. Your other qualifications are awesome.

  2. everything seems ok, but I think your ACT score is to low.

You probably need to have a 33 or 34+ on the ACT to get in.

You may want to look for one step down such as Michigan, North Carolina, Duke, Wake Forest, etc...
