Chances for Dolphins’ Matt Moore starting Sunday’s game seem bright – NFL News
The news out is that injured Matt Moore maybe available for Sunday’s game against the Buffalo Bills as he returned to practice on Thursday.
The Miami Dolphins had suffered one another setback apart from their loss to the Philadelphia Eagles last Sunday. Their quarterback Matt Moore had to leave the game after having sustained a concussion. The incident had occurred
towards the end of the third quarter after Eagles linebacker Brian Rolle collided with the quarterback. Moore had been seen rolling on the field after which he was taken off the field. J.P. Losman was moved in to take place of the injured Moore.
Now it seems that Moore may return to the field this Sunday after having returned to practice on Thursday. Though interim coach Todd Bowles said that the decision will be made just before the game, reports circulating are that
Moore will start the game this Sunday. In case he is unable to do so, Losman will be back in action once again.
"He returned to practice, threw the ball around and looks good," Bowles said. "His (injury) was mild. He's fine, but we'll see how he feels on Sunday."
Though Bowles admitted Moore was doing well, yet he said he will keep an eye on him for the next two days before making a decision.
Moore took to the field only after having passed the baseline concussion test. He took part in limited exercises on the field and appeared hopeful for playing in Sunday’s game.
“It felt good, nice to get back in and get reps, get ready for Buffalo,” said Moore.
Talking to the South Florida Sun Sentinel, Moore said that he was ready and excited about the opportunity to play against the Bills.
The Sunday’s game would decide which team ends up last in the division, so the Dolphins would do their best to avoid a defeat. Moore’s presence will therefore be much required. The last game between the two sides was won by the
Dolphins who managed to move ahead of the Bills 15-10.
Also adding to the good news for Dolphins is the return of their key player Jake Long to practice. The left tackle sustained a back injury that made him miss most of last Sunday’s game.
