Chances of my K-1 visa being aproved...or not so much?

I am Colombian and my boyfriend is American I love him very much and we want to go ahead and get married. but I already have an I-130 petition awaiting since September 2005

will this affect the petition boyfriend is going to do for me?

also he is in the military will that affect us in any way he is currently working for the military here in Colombia.

Congratulations!!!

Well, I am assuming that a family member has filed a petition for you.  It will not hurt you if your boyfriend files a petition.  See, spouses have priority over family members.  So if you soon to be husband files a petition, it will get approve faster.  You might want to mention that you have all ready an application in progress in you new application.

Since, your boyfriend is in the military, he has access to free legal advise.  Just have the JAG lawyers do all the leg work and very soon you and your soon to be husband will be able to live together in the U.S.
