Question:

Chandelier Installation?

I have bought a chandelier from shop wild things however, i failed to realize that it was one that hangs, but a cord needs to drape down to plug into a wall. I was just wondering if a hardwiring kit could be used to make it so it was just a normal hanging one. My uncle is an electrician and he said it may be possible but he is unsure, if i bought a hardwire kit could it be done?

Here is the chandelier:

Will this work, I really need help! thanks!!!!

  1. Get a new Uncle; he should know that all he needs to know regarding hardwiring the fixture will be found in the Manufacturer's Installation Instructions. If they don't mention doing that, it can't (SHOULDN'T) be done.

  2. im surprised your uncle doesnt know. call another electrician

  3. Very easy, just run the wires up through the hardwire kit and connect them to the wires with wirenuts.
