Question:

Chanel eye glasses?

I want to get Chanel eye glasses but my parents are set on staying with Sears optical which doesn't have the glasses I like. I have looked some up on ebay and have found one but my questions is , are the lenses going to cost more in getting it for eye glasses that are not from their own store than getting one from their store? Does it even matter? Has anyone done this, bought their eye glasses elsewhere and took it to a different store to get the prescription filled? Please share experience.

Thanks a bunch!

  1. Most places will fill and rx into a frame from another place. However they might charge you a "pattern fee" for cutting a lnese pattern that they do not have.  Another thing is that you might not really have a good warranty buying a frame on line and it might not fit you well. Expecting the Walmart optician to do all the work on and for that frame and not be paid for the frame its self is kind of a bad thing, to me. Most of the time Chanel is really expensive but does not have the warranty or quality that I am looking for, so I never really get excited over them. I understand that Walmart does not have the selection you are looking for, but then again, when it is someone else that is paying for it you kind of have to go with what they say. Call Walmart and see what they will do if you bring in a frame from the outside. They are the best to ask.

  2. I would try to convince your parents to go to Target. They have adorable frames at good prices. If you buy them on ebay you cannot guarantee that any place can fill them with lenses, and you also won't get the typical deal they give you on lenses when you buy a pair of their glasses...
