Change Cricket Style????

Question

I am the 14 year kid who been asking question and getting some great feedbacks. I just wanted to ask something else... I bat in a different way and play different shots than other. I heard Different is better but my timing of the ball is Great. But my Brother said to change my style and for a week i been trying and starting as a beginner. Should i change back or keep this and try playing cricket?

How much different are you? Have you seen the way Chanderpaul bats? A style is unique and as long as it is working (i.e. effective) then continue to use it.
