My fuel light went off this morning while on my way to work, so I stopped and got gas. While on the way I noticed my "change oil" light was on. My boyfriend changed it a couple months ago, and it isn't anywhere near the 3,000 mile replacement mark....weird. He cant figure out why the lights on. I checked the oil levels a couple weeks ago and it was full....whats going on....should I just change the oil anyway. And will it be ok to wait until Saturday when my boyfriend is able to do it? I've tried it but I got bored with it. lol.

  1. the oil  change  light  was not reset last oil change.gm cars turn the key to on but dont start, pump the gas pedal to the floor 3 times within 5 seconds of turning the key on and it will reset.what kind of car is it and i can tell you how to reset it?

  2. ur boyfriend or wherever he got it changed didn't reset the button.

  3. He probably forgot the reset button.  Even if you wanted to change it, you can certainly wait until saturday.  If the levels are fine, whats a few more days with dirty oil?
