Question:

Change contact lenses brand?

I have contact lenses and they are unexpectedly expensive compared to other brands. I got them as a first-timer and I figured it would be easier just to have my eye-doctor order them for me and such. We spent a lot on them, and I tried my best to use them lest oftenly. It's over a year now and I want to change my brand and buy them at Costco or somewhere else. Will my eye-doctor give me my old prescription and allow me to go on my way ordering them somewhere else?

  1. If it has been over a year no one will fill the script for you. It is a law. I found this out after I lost a contact and it had only been 13 months and even though I didnt have a back up pair of glasses they refused to give me a pair even until I could get to the doctor. I was furious. I called the manager threw a fit and even cried and guess what I had to go around not being able to see for a week until I could get in to see the doctor.

  2. yes they should refill the script without having to pay

  3. U can double confirm with the eye doc.

  4. Most doctors won't renew your prescription more than once a year without an exam, but you can take your prescription elsewhere--they can't make you buy them in the office.
