Change currency in Singapore or Vietnam?

For those who have travelled to vietnam, i want to ask this question. Is it advisable to change singapore dollars to vietnam dong here in singapore or in vietnam? i mean which side would get a better deal...

Another question, should i change to US dollars instead? Is it better to change from Singapore dollars to vietnam dong OR US dollars?

US Dollar, Singapore Dollar as well as other major currencies can be exchanged into Vietnam Dong in Vietnam at any foreign exchange spots, i.e. banks and gold shops. It is wiser to make the deal at banks or their branches than gold stores or hotels and guesthouses. Do not change to US dollars, as its rate with Vietnam Dong are unstable in recent weeks.

no need to exchange your SGD to US or VND in Singapore, just bring your SGD along to Vietnam, then you can exchange at so many places in Vietnam

I dont reccommend you do at the airport since the rate is so high, you better do at some FOREIGN CURRENCY EXCHANGE SHOP instead (at addr 44 Le Loi Street District 1, Ho Chi Minh city if you are going to come to Ho Chi Minh).
