Question:

Change in baby's movement?

i probably worry more than i should, but for the past few days my baby has been kicking non stop and very hard. today i have felt a few weak kicks and now for the apst hour or so, not much movement if any. is this okay? i always get worried when i dont feel anything, but today he was not moving and i ate lunch which normally makes him move, but it didnt.

  1. Keep an eye on it, a decrease in movement is always a concern.  Your baby should move about 10 times an hour it says so start counting. Read this article also to help you test it out.

Try drinking something very cold and sweet (orange juice is good) and then lay down on your left side.  After about 10-15 minutes, you should start to feel movement.  You should feel 10 distinct movements in one hour,  This can be kicks, rolls, nudges, anything.  If you don't get this reaction, call you Ob or head into L&D.  

    I'm sure all is fine, but better safe than sorry.  Never hesitate to report ANY change in your baby's movements to your doctor.
