I have a windows XP system, with a windows NT style logon screen, any ideas on how to change it to the windows XP logon.

Here are the images of both logon screens:

  1. Go to start, control panel, user accounts

Then you will see an arrow next to it will say change the way users log on or off, click the arrow

A box may pop up that says, "Fast User Switching cannot be used because offline files are enabled..." just ignore this box by clicking the little red "X" at the top right corner.

Check the box that says "Use the welcome screen"

    Click apply options

and you are done once you restart your computer and it comes back on it should appear with user name(s) click on your name and type the password
