Change my gifted language arts class?

Hi, I'm currently in a gifted/talented Language arts class, and I feel that it's a bit too domineering, and quite frankly I feel intimidated. I've had straight A's since entering the school, and this is my last year there, so I don't want to jeopardize that. I was fine in my language arts class last year (I was in a normal L.A. class) and I think it's a bit of a leap skipping like a whole year of stuff I don't know. So, should I get this class changed? I was planning to but just want a secondary opinion.

If you are accurate in your assessment that the class is really too difficult for you then you should request a transfer to a "normal"  LA class.

There is not need to make yourself miserable and at the same time possibly be a drag on what the others could learn,/
