Do i need to ammend my Philippine passport to be able to change my US visa? Do I need to re apply for a new US Visa to be able to change my name? Please help on what to do. Thank you

  1. My step daughter made a name change her home country gave her a new passport and gave back her old one with a stamp showing that she is the same person on the new passport as the old one we did not have a problem getting back into the states but we had to carry two passports for her

Her old passport was concealed with her visa stamp and I was a bit nervous the American Officer told ''as long as she has her green card with it;s no problem''

  2. im here with a US visa as well....They made a mistake in my visa last year and they said that the only way i can change something is to reapply for a new visa....since it was their mistake, i got my visa right away...

heres a website that will tell you everything...usually its at a US embassy....

  3. You will need to amend your Philippine passport to show your married name. Your passport should retain your maiden name rather than be a reissue. Your visa is a stamp in that passport so everything will be fine.
