Change screen brightness windows vista home premium?

hi...so my screen brightness is set to a very high level and it hurts my eyes and gives me headaches...so does anyone know how to do this plz?

Depends on your laptop but it is usually a combination of yout function key(FN) and a another key (One looks like the sun ☀  to brighten and the other one looks sorta like this ◉ to darken)

This is an adjustment on the monitor. Look on the side or bottom for buttons or adjustment wheels.

Some monitors have software that adjusts various things also. Check the CD that came with the monitor or the manufacturer's website.
