Change the starter in my eagle Talon TSI AWD?

Question

I bought a new starter for my eagle talon TSI AWD, as my old one went caputs.

I've never fixed anything serious in my car, but everyone keeps telling me that starters are simple to do.

Anyone ever changed a 1995 Eagle Talon TSI AWD starter?

I know where it is, can i get at it from the top (taking battery out), or is it only possible from underneath?

unscrew the two bolts, and the wires, then put em in the new one? is it that simple? anyone have a site with pics i can see?

it is posible underneath ask a friend to help you.. if your un sure heres my step to step guide

1.put can on ramp if u have one

2.take the under neathe carpet off (if it has one)

3.take the bolts out

4.take all wiring out. make sure you know which wire goes where

5.you should be able to take the thing out now

6.put new starter in the same position as the old one

7.put bolts in

8.put wires in

9.recheck the bolts

10.then put carpet on and put car down
