It will only work on the 8100 model.  I believe you can download it at eveek or pinstack

You can only change the color on the 8100, as this is the only model with the colored LED.

Hi there, I just did this a few mintues ago..these instructions should help:) Email if you need any more help...I don't mind.

You can change it without the internet on your phone. But, do you have the 8100...This application only works for 8100, It is the only device with the colored LEDs behind the trackball. There will not be a version for the 8800, Curve/8300, Pearl 2/8120/8130...Here are the steps to do it:

Go to http://www.geekandproud.net/blackberry-s...

Scroll down to "Color Pearl" and click on the "Zipped alx/cod" and click on "Save" (it will install it on your desktop ).

Go to where you saved the file, right click on the file, and select "Extract All"

Then hook up your phone to the desktop with the usb cable. Open your blackberry media manager on your desktop. Click on "application loader" and select the extracted file "colorpearl"

To enable/disable and set the color, go to Options- ColorPearl on your phone.

Make sure your bb is a 4.2 you can check this by going to options>about and it will tell you on the 3rd line what version your pearl is. I heard that any other version higher than 4.2 will not work with this app.

Also you can set it to flash when people call ...

hit the call button, and scroll up to the top where there is nothing highlighted...then hit the menu button and select options. Then select general options and at the bottom where it says ringtone lighting select trackball. And voula! Lots of fun:D
