  1. No sir It does not work that way.  You can not circumvent the system.

you will have to leave Canada and apply for landed status.

You can apply here ut you can NOT stay.

  2. As others have said, it is possible, but not easy.  When does your visitor's visa expire?  Your first step may be to apply for an extention of your visitor's visa because if you truly want to live in Canada you do not want to find yourself in the situation of being in the country illegally - that would make it much more difficult to be permitted to stay legally.  Once you have applied for an extention of your visitor's visa, you are legal until immigration responds to your request.  Make sure you apply before your visitor's visa expires.

You have been given links to the Canadian immigration site, which has tons of information, but it can be difficult to find the exact information you need.  In your case, I would recommend that you seek legal advice if you can afford it.  An immigration lawyer will be able to tell you what is possible and what  you have to do.   Having a lawyer will not change your eligibility to stay in Canada, but it will ensure that you cover all bases and submit all the necessary papers, and it will also ensure that you follow the best plan for your situation.  Your situation is one that probably needs better advice than you can get here.  Best of luck with your plans.

  3. See this website,

    cic.gc.ca

  4. It CAN be done, however it is very difficult. You stated you already have visa, your best bet would be, assuming you have 6 mths left on your visa, would be to apply for the work permit first using CIC form [IMM 1249]. Then apon approval of the work permit, you can apply for permanent residence, assuming your employer offers you a permanent Job. If you do not have 6 mths left on your visitors visa, apply for an extension AND work permit using the same form [IMM 1249], and check both boxes A & C.    All of this info assumes you meet the criteria stated below:

Note: You must meet the following minimum requirements to apply as a skilled worker:

        * You have at least one continuous year of full-time, paid work experience or the equivalent in part-time continuous employment.

        * Your work experience must be Skill Type 0 (managerial occupations) or Skill Level A (professional occupations) or B (technical occupations and skilled trades) on the Canadian National Occupational Classification (NOC).

        * You must have had this experience within the last 10 years.

Eligibility to apply from inside Canada

You can only apply for a work permit from inside Canada if:

        * you have a valid study or work permit, or your spouse or parents have a study or work permit

        * you have a work permit for one job but want to apply for a work permit for a different job

        * you have a temporary resident permit that is valid for six months or more or

        * you are in Canada because you have already applied for permanent residence from inside Canada. You will have to pass certain stages in the main application process before you can be eligible for a work permit.
