Change wireless internet settings?

Okay I have a laptop that I have recently gotten wireless internet with. The way I have it set as soon as you turn the computer on it hooks up to the closest wireless internet. How do I change it so I have to click on my name and then enter the password? Please someone help. I cant figure it out. And I really wanna change it!!!!

Go to your wireless network setting wizard under control panel.You have to uncheck automatically connect to wireless network.
