  1. You can buy a Post Office Visa holiday card and put money onto it at any PO in the UK When abroad ( the USA ) you can use it like an ATM Cheaper and a wise move .

  2. In the UK.. don't do it at the airport because you have to have a minimum amount of money.

US is about 1/2 the value of Britsh pound sterling.

One of the cheapest easiest ways is to just use your ATM card.  go to a bank and get money out.

You will have to pay a charge for doing it but it isn't as much as at the exchange locations.

  3. i dont know if it will make an awful lot of difference but my friend just came back from the US and she said that the pound is really valuable over there compared to the dollar so id say convert it in the USA

  4. Any currency exchange service will asess a fee, and many add a commission. Stay away from the money changers at the airport if possible.

If you have a banking relationship in the US, your bank should be able to offer the service for the prevailing exchange rate with no fee or commission. I bank at a smaller regional bank that was able to complete the transaction right at my branch.

  5. in  the usa you can do it the airport that'd be good for u
