  1. If you're using Internet Explorer 7 you should go to  Internet options, click on advanced tab and click the reset button - this brings IE7 back to its original state when it was first installed. Then you can manually enable the active X add-ons that are already installed by clicking on Tools -> manage add-ons -> enable or disable add-ons..

Messing with the registry is a bad idea if you've never done it before.

  2. Download a registry booster like Uniblue Regisry Booster and download it.

    Fix all the problems.

  3. Ohh I have had this same thing happen to me a few times.  Sometimes an important file gets accidentally deleted, or something happens and your Active X gets deleted, and yet no matter if you redownload and reinstall it; no matter if you check, fix, and recheck your security settings, none of that works.  The only thing that has worked for me with this, and that also will be the only thing that works for you, is for you to just reformat your hard drive, wipe it clean, and then reinstall a fresh copy of your Operating System.  You will be fine once you have done that.  I know it is a real pain in the buttox to do it, but that is what you are going to have to do.

    Thanks,    Brian
