Changes in golf rankings after March 25, 2012

All the golf followers have seen many changes this week in the golf rankings, as Tiger Woods is now among the top-10 golfers of the world.
The Official World Golf Rankings released its new list on March 25, 2012. There were four changes this week and Woods ranking is on the top.
Recently, the 36-year-old American professional golf player won the title of the Arnold Palmer Invitational and reached in the top-10 list of OWGR.
He displayed a tremendous performance and competed well throughout the four days. The event was staged by the PGA, at the Bay Hill Club & Lodge, Orlando, Florida.
Woods won an event after 2009 and ended his winless era. He cheered his million followers by displaying an amazing performance.
He scored 13-under par and 275 strokes in total. He made 20 birdies, 46 pars and 5 bogeys throughout the four days and won the title by five strokes.
Now Woods is ranked on the 6th position of the world and is headed towards his old number one ranking. He is confident to achieve it by playing more tournaments in the near future.
The second change was of Charl Schwartzel’s ranking. He was ranked on the sixth, but after the Arnold Palmer Invitational, he dropped down to the seventh position.
He did not play the event and was preparing for the Masters by practising. Hence, Woods’ leading performance and his sixth ranking affected Schwartzel’s position.
Then, the third change was of Webb Simpson. He played the PGA staged event and finished tied for the 36th place on the leaderboard.
He was ranked on the seventh and due to his low finish in Florida, he is now ranked on the ninth position. Simpson scored 2-over 290 and failed to impress the spectators at the Bay Hill Club & Lodge.
The fourth and the last change was of Adam Scott. He was also practising for the Masters and did not play the Arnold Palmer Invitational.
He went down by two positions and is holding the tenth spot now.
Change in rankings is boosting the interest level and all the spectators are waiting for the first Major of the year at Augusta, in Texas.
There will be a new list in the next week, as after the Masters, the ranking statistics are expected to change again.
