How hard is it to change your citizenship from one country to another?

It is virtually impossible, if you haven´t lived in the country whose citizenship you desire for a certain amount of years.It varies from one country to the next.USA-5 years, Germany-8 years, etc. You might want to reconsider and find out what you can do to make your country a better place, so you would find your citizenship more attractive. Obviously there is something you dislike about your country, or you wouldn´t have asked the question. If you are living in a democracy, change it!

I think it would probably depend on what country you wanted to emigrate to - emotionally I think it would be an extremely difficult thing to do - I couldn't do it.
