Dear friends,

I am member of a Yahoo!Group which owner lost his password and, after some time, his account was automatically terminated by Yahoo!Groups due to his profile's inactivity.

I would like to know if there's a way to change the group ownership. I tried to recreate owner's profile to help him, but it was unsuccessful because the group was not available for him, even with the recreated account. Owner doesn't have much time to administrate it, so I would like to take care of the Yahoo!Group.

My Yahoo!Group URL is http://groups.yahoo.com/group/fgv2003/ . You can ask me any other information and I will help you as soon as possible.

Best regards,

Franklin

  1. the owner would need this account form:

    http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/mail/or...

yahoo may be able to reactivate that account, however if they cannot there isn't much that can be done. Yahoo does not at this time transfer ownship of groups

    sorry

  2. You can't.  No matter what the situation might be, the current owner or a current moderator with the privilege is the only one that can make someone else a owner or moderator w/all privileges.

The owner can complete  yahoo Groups Help Form and ask for assistance from Yahoo Staff.  Here is the link to that form:
