I am going through canadapost.ca and setting up changing address. Am I missing something here, since when did Canada post charge $$$ to change your address? I don't remember having to do this a few years ago when I moved I am staying within the province I am staying within the county.

Or is this because I am doinig it online?

$66 to change address, I mean COME ON now.

  1. You're not paying Canada Post to change your address.  You are paying them to have your mail redirected until you have notified all of your contacts what your new address is.

Regular contacts  like your bank, telephone, hydro and friends aren't a problem.  It's those infrequent mailings that might come perhaps once or twice a year that you may not get once you've moved.

No matter how careful I am I still somehow miss notifying one or 2 contacts and am very glad I paid for Canada Post's mail redirection service.

It doesn't matter how you pay it is the same price.

  2. huh? you're kidding, right?

  3. .   DO not pay it.
