  2. One day to make a project isn't much. There are many interactions under the forest canopy. There is light, moisture levels, nutrient density and soil microbes, insect life, impact of transient animals such as grazers, then changing plant life, temperatures, oxygen and carbon dioxide levels. All these things interact to keep a forest environment balanced. Other things such as flooding, soil erosion, and earthquakes change the geography of an area. For a geography project you could talk about how cutting forests changes the landscape by soil erosion and loss of topsoil, etc. Here are some project suggestions - you did not list a grade level ...
