Changing daughters last name.....?

My daughter who is 5 was concieved artificially and has no legal father.I have since married and my husband wants to give her his last name.She was born In NY,and I currently live in Florida.Anyone know how to go about this?

  2. Why doesn't he just offically adopt her?

  3. Use the court system where you will live-you can do a name change by filing ppwk with a paralegal to do for you-contact a paralegal in your area and they can explain. Its not that much-they are so much lower than lawyers but take the filing strains off you.
