  1. Many international airports have a place to exchange currencies.

  2. I know of nobody that accepts foreign coins.   Many international airports have recipticals that you can toss all of your extra coins when leaving the country.  The collected money are then given to various charities - same as you want to do.

hope you are able to find a place to exchange the coins.

    good luck!

  3. Generally banks and bureaux de change don't want to know about foreign coins, as it's far too expensive to ship them back to their country of origin. This is why you should always try to change your leftover coins into notes before you leave a country, unless you're planning on going back there sometime.

As you know, some charities do foreign coin collections, but it's best to contact them first to see if they're interested, as they may well have arrangements to get the coins exchanged which will be much easier than you having to do it!

  4. Sainsburys accept foreign coins for charities.Saves you changing them first.

  5. travel agents only exchange notes, I think a bank might change them, or you could try paying into your bank
