  1. my son just turned 7 months and 3 days ago i switched him to organic formula. When he was born he was on similac advance and doctor said when he turned 6 months i can give him any milk based formula so i was giving him enfamil lipil and similac advance...........whatever was on sale or had a coupon for. I have fed him only organic baby food and finally found an organic formula that did not cost a fortune. So 3 days ago i started giving him the milk based organic formula and he has been totally fine!!   Good luck! p.s.   I didnt ease into feeding it to him, just woke up and started that day!!  i would keep a watch for any signs of a reaction, but your little one should be fine

    YAY FOR ORGANIC BABIES!!

  2. Any time you switch formula you should do it gradually. Introduce one scoop of new formula to a bottle (say you usually have 4 scoops and 8oz water, use 3 scoops old stuff and one of the new, but follow proportion directions carefully.) for each feed on the day. Keep that up for a couple of days and make sure there aren't any major changes, then add another scoop per bottle for another day then another, etc. until the old stuff is gone.

I do not know about organic formula, it isn't available where I live. It depends what makes it organic- do they use organic lactose or do they derive all the nutrients organically as well?  If it is just the lactose, then you will be feeding your baby less hormones and pesticides, that is awesome. All those hormones in cows really add up and can cause premature puberty and a whole host of other health issues.
