Changing from windows XP to Vista. I have been running Artlink V3 on windows XP and have upgraded

I have been running Artlink V3 on windows XP and have upgraded to windows Vista and now my software won't run. Is there a patch I can get or am forced to pay hundreds of dollars to run new software? Please help!
