Changing jobs...?

i work for the largest retailer in the world and it just isnt that easy to get full time with them. i am getting close to retirement and i cant just get a job anywhere. i stand on my feet and i put up with the public for as many hours as i am allowed by my employer but to get full time and benefits at my age is almost impossible. although im close to retirement i am one of the fastest cashiers at my store and i am d**n proud of it. that is not my problem. how does a woman with no means make it on her own without living in with someone and when push comes to shove should i stay here and pay the bills with the house in foreclosure or should i tuck tail and run back to where i was at. im not exactly changing jobs i would just be changing locations. it may not seem like a big deal to you but im getting too old to keep running.

  1. Sounds like some tough decisions.  Sorry to hear that.

There are some places where you can get benefits even working less than full time hours.  For example, StarBucks.  I would suggest talk to people and ask around, maybe you'll get lucky and find a better alternative.

    Best wishes.
