Changing location

Question

I am on vacation and tried to change my home location toFlorida. It doesn't seem to take the information. Everything i tried - just shows me at my home location in New York. It showed "change home location" and I entered the Florida inforfmation,but it doesn't show it. At some point it indicated that theGPS was off??? But I did have it plugged into the power outlet and the red light was on on the adapter?????
