Changing my surname what do I need to Change?

I have just been married and I am in the middle of chaning eveything to my new name I feel like I have forgotton to change some things what areas do I need to chang eg banks???

  1. Great answers so far. Don't forget the person who keeps the master list for your high school graduating class, if you want to attend the 5th, 10th, 15th , 20th . . .  reunion. If you didn't attend the 5th, tell him/her anyway; you may want to attend the 10th. It is easier to decline an invitation you get that to accept one you don't get.

You need to change your name on your identification or drivers license, your Social Security card, your credit cards and banking information, your employer and or any schools you or any children attend, medical offices such as the doctor, dentist, eye doctor, pharmacy (and medical insurance), memberships like the gym, library, video rentals, etc.

Doctors offices, dentist office, hospital, Drivers license, car title, social security card, credit cards, bank accounts, auto loan, student loan, mortgage loan, stock accounts, IRS, 401k, deeds, trusts, power of attorney, wills, (your own, or other;s will where you are included in any way) magazine subscriptions. all accounts you have setup for online shopping, email accounts,

    w-4 for employer, payroll direct deposit form, club membership lists (especially if the publish contact list) your parish membership, alumni association, cell phone account, utilities, property tax office, voter registration (may need to do seperately for municipality) charitable orginizations, public television/public radio memberships,.sorority
