Changing names and passports question.?

I changed my name a while back and got issued a passport in that name. I was abit stupid at the time because i didn't think it through properly.

The question i need answering is this:

I need to change my name back to my old name by deed poll, but how much will it cost me to change my passport to have my old name written on it? My passport is in date and has another 9 or so years left on it.

I am in the United Kingdom by the way, so no Americans answering.

Thanks.

  1. you will have to pay for a new passport

  2. Ther's nothing to it. Simply go to any solicitor, fill in a change of name form, pay a small fee, go to the nearest PP office, fill in the app. and it's done.

  3. The fees to make name changes to your passport are £46 by post on a 3 week service.  Ã‚£46 via certain Post Offices on a 2 week service.

£97 by appointment at Passport Offices - FastTrack one week service, or £114 by appointment at Passport Offices Premium same day service.

    See:

    http://www.ips.gov.uk/passport/apply-ame...

You are obviously already aware of the cost of changing your name by Deed Poll, as you did it before.
