Tip from a Londoner: don't bother with seeing it at Buckingham Palace. You're miles away behind the railing, and it's always crowded with tourists. You won't see anything.

Instead, go up the Mall and watch it at Horse Guard's Parade instead - every day at 10am. You'll see much better.

It's 11:30am  but they don't do it every day.  It's every other day, so you need to verify what the current schedule is.
