I've tried to figure out how to change the light inside the microwave (not over the stove), by looking at the diagram on the sears.com webpage. The part I bought was WB08X10050, halogen lamp. Near as I can tell, I have to remove the top of the microwave to dig into the area where the lightbulb resides. If so, who designed this so that a lightbulb couldn't easily be changed?Called Westinghouse and was told there is no way to change the bulb. I was also told there is no recall or rebate available for it. I decided to take your suggestion and try to remove the over cover, but that requires a special tool as the screws have a little "stud" in the center and the opening is round on the top and half star shaped on the bottom. Evidentally, they don't mean for you to take the cover off!!
