How do I change my avatar picture to a real picture?

Hello,

To change your Avatar to a real picture, you must have your Yahoo 360 account.

1) Go to http://360.yahoo.com/

2) Create your own account;

3) Click on "My Page" at the tool-bar;

4) Click on "Edit Personal Photos" located above to your Avatar;

5) You can see 3 picture frames below to your Avatar slot;

6) Click on "Browse" next to those picture frames;

7) Upload .jpg pictures from your computer (you can upload upto 3);

8) Click on "Save" at the bottom of the page;

** Remember, the first photo in your 360 page will be displayed at your Yahoo Answers account.

TO Show this in Yahoo Answers:: Select "Show my 360 Picture" option at Picture column on your "Edit My Profile" page (instead of use my Yahoo Avatar).

**EDIT:: You can change a .bmp by:: Open your .bmp picture files in MS Paint & Save them as a .jpg image.

But, these pictures does not give you much clarity as you get the clarity with an original .jpg image.

you have to make a 360 page & upload your picture there!! then  you have to use the one on default that you want on here!! happy to help!!!!!!!

but a word of advice:: dont use a personal pic- its dangerous.

You have to start a 360 page. Since Yahoo will be switching soon, check out Multiply.com or check out Mash.

To start a 360 page, go to your profile and click Edit Info

It will ask if you want to start a 360. Click on it.

Fill in the necessary information and begin your page.

Go to my page and where the picture goes, in the left hand upper corner, you will see Edit Personal Photos.

Click on that and you will see where you can upload photos from your computer.

When you've done that, choose the picture that you wish to appear and click on Use As Primary on the right side of the page.

Scroll down and click on Save.

Go back to Edit info on your profile page and click on Use 360 image.

You should then have the avatar of your choice
