Changing resolution acer laptop?

I have a acer 5600 series laptop, the most i can go for resolution is 1280 x 800, I want a smaller one like 1280 x 1040 or something but the highest it goes is 1280 x 800 and wont let me change it, how do i change it?

  1. You mean you want a larger resolution.

    On every screen there is a maximum resolution. You might have reached that. Also, since most laptops have a wide-screen monitor, your 1280 x 1024 resolution may be incompatible because it's a regular aspect ratio.

    But if that is not the case, see if your graphics control panel has a force option (usually in Advanced settings), or download a third party control panel that will do so.
