it is the day before my flight from Montreal to Paris on Air France, so i'm able to check-in and print my boarding pass from home. i'm going through the online procedure now and it's letting me switch my seats if i want. my seats are coach but it's even giving me the option to change seats to the upper deck of the 747 plane and not saying anything about charging me more. why is that? could i actually change my seats to the upper deck for the coach price i'm saying now?? it's just not saying anything about a price change

  1. Man thats awesome!

  2. Air France specially reserved the upper deck 747 coach seats for its elite passengers.  They don't allow you to pay more to select one of these seats in advance.  Believe me, back before I was F+ Rouge, I tried =]  These seats open up EXACTLY 30 hours prior to departure in you're in Europe, or EXACTLY 24 hours prior to departure for the US.  You can OLCI (online check-in) again then, and reselect a seat in the upper deck then.

Just a tip - try to get Row 65.  It's an exit row, and there's more legroom there than you'll know what do do with!  Have a nice flight =]

  3. If you're so concerned about it I would suggest calling or e-mailing Air France and asking them.
