Changing the rollerball color on blackberry pearl?

Okay, I have the 8110 and I know you can change the ball color...I downloaded the thing from geekandproud.com to my desktop but now what? :/ lol. Please help! Thanks!

  1. when you bought the phone, it came w/ a CD. install Desktop Manager from that CD to your PC. Connect the BB via USB cable (sbould came with the phone) and upload the "thing" using the Desktop Manager.

    the thing about the message alert: home screen (Profiles)>Advanced>Menu Key (select EDIT)>change alert type or sound. This applies to the message only, not to your ringtone for incoming calls.


  2. The BlackBerry Pearl 8100 is the ONLY model that can have the track ball color changed. The ColorPearl program from geekandproud doesn't work on the Pearl 8110, or any other BlackBerry with a track ball. RIM removed the color LEDs from under the track ball.
