Changing the tongue ring?

i got my tongue pierced last wednsday and my parents found out and they r making me take it out on tues..so what i want to do is change my ring to a retainer so they think i am letting it close up and what not.

Is this okay to do?

  1. I wouldn't recommend it.  You will inflame the piercing and it could cause complications.  You could try changing out the balls to clear ones (they sell them everywhere). Or just take it out and try again later.


  2. it won't close IMMEDIATELY after u take it out, but even if you put in a retainer, if ur parents ask you to open your mouth, they probably will see it. The retainer is clear, not invisible.....

  3. you should probably tell your parents you need a little time for it to heal before you can take it out because of infection so that could buy you some time to change it when it is healed then put the retainer in. But you can still see it if ur laughing or talking a lot. Don't change it if it is not healed unless you go to your piercer and get the ok.  

  4. your tongue is still healing. i wouldnt suggest taking the piercing out then trying to put a retainer in. if you really must do it than go to a proffesional piercer. just to let you know the retainer is still noticible.
