HELP...we had to replace our water heater, we went from a 30 gal. to a 50 gal. However once we did, the water pressure keeps blowing the lines (connections) apart..we have tried everything known to man..It doesn't make sense the lines would keep poppin apart when only the heater has changed sizes..Any information would be greatly appriciated..

  1. are you using a primer and glue? also are you waiting the proper wait time. Switch to copper

  2. I'm guessing the new water lines that connect to the water heater are blowing off and not other existing lines.  Sounds like you're using the wrong glue with the wrong pipe.  Are you twisting the connections 1/4 turn when connectiong and giving the glue time to dry before turning on the water?

  3. Get a pressure regulator for the incoming line. And did you install a new pop-off valve? Sounds like you did not.
