Question:

Channel 4 Make Me A Christian - was that the worst and most biased debate on abortion ever???

Why were there no testimonies from women who have been forced to have illegal abortions or babies under difficult circumstances - where, in fact, was the pro choice argument at all? This tv programme is either over simplified nonsense or brainwashing like Martin says, I feel sorry for the liberal Christians out there who are being really misrepresented...

  1. I've just seen it. It was horrible on so many counts.

And they’d have had a much harder time with me: no glaring “immoralities” to correct, and volumes upon volumes of theology and philosophy on my bookshelves which led me, after many years of study, to reject the source of their “certain” pronouncements.

But shots of someone making notes and comparing books probably wouldn't have been “reality” enough for Channel 4. However real it actually was.

Going at the whole area of behaviour before considering the whole area of whether the message is actually true seems completely upside down to me, apart from the usual absurdities of "reality" TV (which were also present.)

No real discussion, no real questioning allowed.

"The Bible's right" settles everything, with not the slightest acknowledgment of the divisions within Christianity on the bible.

  2. The whole programme is a biased one sided 'debate' with the one person who is not acting like a sheep being singled out as a trouble maker.

God help any of them if they ever need this sort of help.

  3. I rekkon the whole programme was soo biased and one-sided, but when Martin questioned anything he was 'shouted down' and seen as a trouble maker..umm not a lot of god's love there eh? the others where just acting like dumb sheep....ooh how dare someone think for themselves and be proud to think like an individual and highlight brainwashing, shock horror...
