Channel Scan

Question

I have a three month old Olevia 747i LCD Tv, everything was ok when first set up but last week lost all channels. Tried to do auto scan but wil not see anthing. Called tech support and they said needed a (Tuner Converter) to connect the incoming cable to then to the Tv. I think the porblem is more then this, can you help.Darren
