i just got verizon fios(idk if that is helpful) but when i go from an hd channel to a stand channel or vice versa, the screen has like a quick flicker/quick staticish noise(the noise is very minor but it might just be me) for like a sec (with a no signal pic) when switching from hd to standard channels. but if im just flipping through just standard or hd channels everything is fine. is this something to worry about?

but other than that the pictures and sound is fine....

tv is olevia 42 inch full hd with hdmi cable in

  1. Nothing to worry about, ignore it and enjoy.

  2. That is because you are going from high def to standard signals, or vice versa, and your TV is looking for the best quality picture for the type of signal it is receiving. That would happen with which ever carrier you went with.

Hope you enjoy your FIOS, you have picked the best of the best out there.

  3. That is NORMAL....

You see, your TV set and your Fios box is switching from Low Def to Hi Def and the BUFFERS have to dump ALL that information and switch the Video processor over....

That takes a little time for it to do all the changes.....

Once it's changed, it has a LOT LESS to do and that's why it changes Low Def to Low Def channels easily....

It's only when you go HD to SD or vice versa that you get that pause and the screen looks folded over/bent...
