Chaos Theory: Simple Explanation?

Question

I was reading about the Chaos Theory for no particular reason, I just like to learn about cool things. It was pretty hard to keep up with most of the scientists explanations. So if someone can give me a relatively short, effective answer. (also include any other cool little details about it)

um its is how if you change one little thing that effects something extremely larger than it. I'll give you an example lets say a butterfly is flapping its wings and that causes a missile to go extremely off course. or at last i think something like that
